Applications of special-shaped springs

Special-shaped springThe forming machine usually refers to specialized equipment for producing various elastic components such as tension springs, torsion springs, and various retaining rings. The complexity of specialized machines is higher than that of winding machines for compression springs, also known as multi-station machines. The commonly used domestic tail hook torsion spring winding specialized machine is the straight tail spiral spring machine. Its action uses a rack and pinion mechanism, with a feeding method of reciprocating unidirectional feeding mechanism. The spiral spring is wound around an iron core, and the pitch control is achieved by the vertical movement of a sliding rod through a cam. The cutting mechanism for special-shaped springs is also controlled by a cam. This machine can only produce simple torsion springs. The domestic model is Z56-25, which can only produce torque springs with a wire diameter of less than 2.5mm.

The machine used to make retaining rings from special-shaped springs is called a bending machine and is in a multi-station form. The wire is fed into the mold and then bent into the desired shape through a series of clamping actions. The key to the machine tool is the design and manufacturing of the mold. When changing varieties, it is necessary to replace the mold and tools, which takes a long time to adjust.

Due to the variety and shape of springs being ever-changing, it requires that the machinery for special-shaped springs meets the demands for easy adjustment and adaptability to multiple varieties. New types of special-shaped spring forming machines have been able to complete a series of complex actions from wire feeding to spiral springs, bending, etc., and process the adhesive tape at the tail of the spring. They can not only wind compression springs but also freely adapt to tension springs, torsion springs, double-headed torsion springs, double-layer springs, and various retaining rings. There are many types of foreign special-shaped spring forming machines.
